Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are the tours good for families?

You betcha. As a father of a young child myself who joins us for our food explorations around the world, I ensure all of these tours are fun and flexible for kids of all ages. I can’t guarantee chicken nuggets and Mac and cheese on every tour, but I can guarantee even the pickiest kids will have a few options and learn something whether they want to or not.

  • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Absolutely. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated with enough advance notice. Please be sure to alert me at least 24 hours before the tour regarding allergies and the severity and I’ll make very effort to accommodate.

  • How far will we walk?

Well, we got to burn off all that indulging in NYC’s best food. Each tour lasts about 3 hours and covers between 1-2 miles (1.5-3 kilometers). Bring comfy shoes and we’ll also find places to sit along the way.

  • Where and What EXACTLY will we be eating?

The exact tastings can vary based on the season and availability of the restaurants. Every stop is carefully curated by me (local NYC food expert and blogger) to ensure absolute deliciousness and a connection to the theme of each tour. If you are trying to be sure not to repeat a food stop on your own, please feel free to reach out in advance and I’ll be sure we hit different places.

  • How are these food tours different from all the others?

These tours have been very carefully developed to ensure the stops are true local businesses and are not the usual tourist stops. Our stops are not the typical New York food tour route, but rather places that are embraced by locals. We also have a strong commitment to sustainability, so all logistics have been thoroughly thought through to combat waste.

  • How are the tours sustainable?

We use compostable forks, plates, and cups and ensure they get added to a commercial compost facility. We also work closely with each business to allow for less packaging and plastic with our tastings.
