  • You’ve heard that New York City is a melting pot, but it’s not fully evident until you get off-the-beaten path and head out to Queens. Jackson Heights is a beautiful neighborhood just 20 minutes from Times Square where you can explore practically the entire world in less than a few hours. Here you will feel the authentic hustle and bustle of New York where real New Yorkers work, shop, and eat.

What started off historically as a homogenized Garden City neighborhood has turned into one of the most colorful and diverse neighborhoods in the entire world. Get a peek at the historically preserved architecture while immersing yourself in authentic communities.

We’ll devour 8-10 food and drink samples (more than enough for a meal) representing diverse communities that reside here, from delectable Colombian pastries to steaming Tibetan dumplings to mind-blowing flavorful Bengali street food to unique and colorful Filipino desserts. Not to mention the best taco you’ve had outside of Mexico!

In addition to eating your way through the world, you’ll find out why these immigrant communities settled here, meet some of the residents, and leave with a real understanding of how the great experiment of New York (where so many diverse cultures live side by side) continues to work to this day.

What People Are Saying

My mum and I recently took a private tour with Brian in Jackson Heights. This was our third tour with Brian and somehow they keep getting better and better. From Peruvian empanadas to Thai beef skewers, 3 different Momos and everything inbetween, Brian knows exactly where to go.

The food is of course fantastic but what sets Brian's tours apart is his ability to connect the food to a neighbourhood's history and on going realities. Brian's warmth and deep knowledge of New York City's little pockets make his tours that highlight of every NYC visit. I could not recommend him more highly.

I’ve lived in NYC for years, but this Jackson Heights food tour blew me away. I had friends visiting from out of town and wanted to do something fun and different—and we had an absolute blast.

Brian was amazing—super knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the neighborhood and the food. We tried so many delicious dishes from places I never would’ve found on my own, and learned so much about the incredible cultural mix in the area.

Even as a local, I left full, happy, and already planning to come back. If you're a foodie (or just hungry), any tour with Brian is a must.

I was looking for something special for our trip to NY and I definitely found it. I booked a private food tour for our group of 4 and Brian made several suggestion for possible food tours in advance. We finally decided to go outside of Manhatten and visited Jackson Heighs.... it was definitely one of the highlights of out NY trip. Brian also gave us several food tips for the rest of the weeks! So a food tour with Brian is clear recommendation!
